She correctly asserts that “personal branders never attend a meeting without their game plan.” And as a musician, you are DEFINATELY a personal brander. Be sure you have whatever you need to support your brand with you at all times. It may be a story or message, a CD/tape, a card, or who knows what, but make sure you’re prepared.
“The fact is that our working, as well as our personal life, is paved
with opportunities. But unless we’re prepared to recognize and jump on
those opportunities they’re as good as gone.”
Her bottom line advice? Think ahead, bring alternatives and be flexible.
